What is the difference between TEFL and TESOL?
Firstly (TEFL) stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. This is the predominant acronym used in the UK. Whilst in the US the predominant acronym used is (TESOL), this stands for Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages.There is no difference regarding the actual course, apart from variations between American English and British English. When TEFL/TESOL certified you can explore new cultures, make new international friends, escape the rat race, learn a new language, improve your CV/resume, live and work in exotic locations, find love & romance, and make a positive difference to the lives of people around the world working either in-class or online.
Is my job placement guaranteed?
As long as you follow our instructions, you can find a teaching job after successfully completing your eTEFL course online. What are my job prospects like and where can I teach?
An eTEFL online course is your gateway to working anywhere in the world. With English becoming the "global language", trained TEFL/TESOL teachers are in high demand, in primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities, and private language schools in over 150 countries from Thailand to Tanzania. Do I need a bachelor's Degree (BA)?
No experience or qualifications required to enrol on an eTEFL online course. In some countries, you will also need a BA degree but not all. Officially, you need a BA degree to obtain a teaching permit in order to teach legally such as China and Thailand. However, there are a few exceptions were a degree is not required. Most ESL teachers do not have a BA degree. You can also teach privately, within a company or you can teach online remotely with our dedicated referral scheme (COVID 19 SECURE).
